The Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) is pleased to announce that local small businesses will be able to apply for a Microenterprise Opportunity Grant of up to $5000.00 beginning Monday, May 18. The Microenterprise Opportunity Grant funds are available for business owners that have been impacted by COVID-19, and are meant to help stabilize small businesses in our community.

When the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Washington State Department of Commerce became available to Stevens County, the Stevens County Commissioners felt the best use of these dollars would be to provide some relief to local small businesses. Distribution of the funds will be in the form of Microenterprise Opportunity Grants, administered by Tri County Economic Development District. TEDD Executive Director, Jeff Koffel, commented, “These grants will bring some much needed relief to small businesses in our region during this challenging time.”

Qualifying businesses located in Ferry, Stevens, Pend Oreille, and Lincoln Counties are all eligible to apply. To request assistance you must meet the program requirements, submit required documentation, on or before May 29, 2020. Funds are available on a limited basis. Submitting an application is not a guarantee of assistance. For your privacy, information collected will remain confidential, used only to meet federal and state record keeping requirements, and withheld as applicable from disclosure. Applications and more information is available on the TEDD website, www.tricountyedd.com.
