Volunteers, including spouses or other family members of participants, are welcome. We need good volunteers to maintain the quality and safety of this event. If you are interested in being involved in this way, please register to volunteer on the registration page or contact race organizers by phone or e-mail.
Participants are responsible to transport themselves, their bikes, and equipment to Lake Gillette prior to the start of the race. Your run gear and swim gear will be transported to T2 (transition 2 area) for you.
There will be transportation to Beaver Lodge after the race: Shuttle buses will leave for Beaver Lodge at 11:00 am and 11:30 am. Bicycles can be taken on the bus or retrieved by support crews. The bicycle transition will be monitored and secure until 12 noon. (Staff and volunteers start the tear down soon after the final finisher, if your bike and gear is still in the transition area, it will be moved aside and left for you to pick up).
Available parking at the finish line area is limited and should be used as a last resort or for those with limited mobility. Finish line parking is located at the Department of Natural Resources parking lots next to the Dean Vaagen Memorial Park. We recommend that family and friends park at the Colville High School, cheer for the bike riders coming into town along WA-20, wait for their racer to run past cheering them on some more, then walking up the the finish line.
