Traffic Safety Program
The mission of the Traffic Safety Program is to reduce the number of traffic collisions and traffic-related crimes by forming a partnership with our citizens using education, enforcement, and engineering.

This program offers a means by which the department can obtain feedback from its constituents regarding their perception of traffic problems.

We practice the philosophy of “Community Oriented Policing” and maintain an open door policy.

We strive to work collectively with the community that we serve in order to maintain a high level of safety standards and conditions for the motoring public.

Speed Reader Board

The Colville Police Department, in cooperation with the Kiwanis and Colville High School, created a Speed Reader Board that can be set-up in your neighborhood, during the months of March to November.

This is an excellent tool to remind drivers to be more aware of their speed. It has proven to slow speeders down in areas it has been utilized in. It is also a way to check your speedometer.

To arrange for the Speed Reader board set-up in your area just stop in at the department at: 147 E. Astor or call us at 684-2525.
